Matt Arness

Matt began his investment industry career in 1996 and joined Stifel upon its acquisition of his private client branch with UBS Financial Services in 2009, where he had spent 13 years.  He attended both Shasta College and California State University and holds Series 7, 9 & 10, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).

A passionate contributor to the community, Matt has been a volunteer of the Butte County Sheriff's Search & Rescue Team since 2013, assisting local citizens and first responders in times of great need.  Together, he and Joe participated in the evacuation of the Feather River Hospital and subsequent rescue and recovery operations in the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, one of the most destructive fire in modern times.  They also participated in the largest mass evacuation of a city in California during the Oroville Dam incident as Swift Water Technicians in 2016.

Matt and his wife, Cheryl, have two daughters and four grandchildren.  Outside the office, Matt enjoys spending time in Lake Almanor with his grandchildren.  Other activities include hunting, traveling with family and friends, and working on projects around the house.   

 


 

Joe Greco

Joe began his investment industry career in 2006 and joined Stifel upon its acquisition of his private client office with UBS Financial Services in 2009.  Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he worked at KPMG's Accounting and Audit division from 2001 to 2005.  He earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of San Diego-USD School of Business and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).

Joe and his wife, Stephanie (college sweethearts), have two children (boy and girl).  Outside the office, Joe enjoys spending time with family and friends around Chico and Lake Tahoe.  His hobbies include snow skiing, boating, camping, working out and working on projects around the house.  Prior to Chico, Joe and his wife lived in Southern California.
